About the Performers...
Sincere S. Y. Lam Guzheng Ensemble
The Sincere S. Y. Lam Guzheng Ensemble, established eight years ago,
is composed of talented and dedicated guzheng performers who are students
of Sincere. This ensemble is the first of its kind in Greater Vancouver.
Under the artistic directorship of Sincere Lam, the ensemble has appeared frequently in various events such as folk festivals, Harmony Arts Festival, art galleries, cultural centers and multi-cultural gatherings: they also bring their talent and love to our senior citizens in senior centers and hospitals all over the lower mainland.
Through her effort and dedication, Sincere Lam has turned this ensemble into one of the most welcomed art groups in Vancouver. Their repertoire includes traditional and modern Chinese music in the form of solo, duo and ensemble. Without doubt, the willingness of the members of the ensemble in presenting Chinese guzheng music and bringing love and joy to various groups of people have won great admiration: and their contributions to enrich the diversity of our cultural lives is highly appreciated.
The Kodoma (The Echo)
This group was organized temporarily by Japanese karaoke lovers for
this Chinese New Year's Festival. Eighteen members will perform vocal solo
and chorus of various Japanese songs.
