Musical Tribute
On Monday, April 19, 2004 His Holiness was honored with a
Musical Tribute, entitled “Celebration for Peace,”
at the Orpheum Theatre. Presented jointly by the Vancouver
Symphony Orchestra and the Westcoast Sacred Arts Society,
this sold out event was a joyful expression of what His Holiness’
presence meant to the city of Vancouver.
Emceed by Goldie Hawn, the evening featured three world premiere
works. It brought together the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra,
the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra and a 180 voice Peace
Choir for children, youth and adults, under the artistic direction
